Anthony Joshua was due to unifying his World Heavyweight title belts against Tyson Fury in the summer.
However, after a judge ruling following Fury’s two previous fights with Deontay Wilder, The Gypsy King was forced to do the trilogy fight with Wilder, leaving Joshua on the hunt for a new opponent.
On Tuesday 20, it finally was confirmed that Joshua would be defending his titles against Oleksandr Usyk on September 25 in North London.
In a message to Tyson Fury following the announcement, Joshua made a dart suggesting Fury was ducking him and avoiding facing him.
“The date is set and we are fully locked in. September 25, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, I put it all on the line again and it’s time to defend my crown”, said Joshua.
