Meet Adwoa Frimpong, an Atlanta-based marketer on our platforms and ecosystems team. “I drive brand relevance, brand love, and business growth for Google products by knowing the user, knowing the magic of Google, and connecting the two,” she explained.
This weekend, Adwoa is in Los Angeles for ADCOLOR. Specifically, she’s being honored as an ADCOLOR Leader: a program that recognizes and supports rising marketing professionals from historically underrepresented groups. This distinction is particularly meaningful for Adwoa. “I am the granddaughter of cocoa farmers and kente weavers from Ghana,” she explained. “This moment exceeds anything they could have imagined for me. With my selection, I felt honored and elated, I felt seen, and I felt a deep sense of responsibility for this incredible opportunity I’ve been given.”
When asked to share any advice for others hoping to create a similar impact, Adwoa recommended, “continuously build your network. Identify your sponsors, your mentors, and your board of advisors. Also, remember the Winston Churchill adage that ‘success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.’”
Congratulations on this achievement Adwoa!
