Nigerian music executive, Banky Wellington better known as Banky W, has signed singer, Whitemoney, to his record label, EME Records.
EmE is the record label that produced Wizkid.
Whitemoney, who rose to prominence after participating in Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eye’ and emerged winner of the season, took to his social media page to announce his new management on Monday, September 20.
He posted pictures with Banky W and his friend, Captain Tunji Dumeren, and told Nigerians to brace themselves for the wave of good music he would release from henceforth.
The 30-year-old singer wrote,
Meanwhile, the collaboration has stirred massive reactions from Nigerians on social media, causing the singer’s name to be on the Trend Table on Twitter.

Signing WhiteMoney doesn’t make any sense. EmE needs talented singers and performers not hype artists. No body is lining up to buy a white money ticket. This strategy is more PR than anything and it won’t convert.
Think Don Jazzy, he has stayed afloat by being able to pick talents that are of the moment. Whitemoney is not a talented singer and he is not of the moment. He is more like a deadweight for a record label that has been out of circulation for years.
Who is he gonna compete with? Rema? Oxlade, Ckay, crayon, Vicony, Sparkle T? Who?
In any genre, he is a flop.
