Bairi’s music will “Free” you from earthly limitations and seduce you into a sweeter dimension. Native to Hershey, Pennsylvania, the singer-songwriter’s sugary vocal and animated sensuality power viral covers of modern hip-hop/R&B staples and, more recently, her two-part EP, 2 Hold U Over.
“Paraíso,” a Spanish translation of “Paradise,” is Bairi’s latest offering—a gleaming display of an artist unafraid to draft faith and go to war with their demons. The self-proclaimed “siren” lures listeners in with dazzling melodies and soulful musings on her divine femininity. Atop Little Island and Johan Lenox’s rich strings, Bairi unveils “Paraíso”’s bilingual message: “Heaven lies here within me.”
“When I first heard the beat to ‘Paraíso,’ I instantly knew that it was special,” Bairi shares with Audiomack World. “It was so powerful to me that I wanted to make sure that whatever I wrote matched that power. I decided to manifest divinity and success in being the woman I’m destined to be.
“I wrote, ‘truth be told my demons sweet, when I’m alone they try to creep but they can’t touch my light,’ which is so ironic, because in the journey of this song’s completion I’ve learned that it’s not a matter of keeping the demons away, but embracing them. I think this song wasn’t just a manifestation of my success, but a lesson on how God truly wanted me to become divine. Just another reason I know that music is truly magical.”
